As a chef and a server we met while working at a local fine dining restaurant. A wedding and three children later we decided to throw caution to the wind and recognize a decade long dream to open a restaurant of our own. Soon we found the perfect location in our hometown and decided on a name that pays tribute to our children, Nicholas, Olivia and Ella.
We opened Nola’s in its original space in late September of 2005. Our goal was simple, from a fine dining background we envisioned a chef owned restaurant that would serve carefully prepared meals in a casual atmosphere, no need to dress up to eat. We would change our menu with the seasons and offer unique options based on culinary classics with a spotlight on local produce. After nearly five years of hard work and with a dedicated staff we decided to take another leap and knock down a 200 year old brick wall in order to expand our restaurant into what was previously Park Row Booksellers. We feel honored to call this beautiful and historic space home and to have forged such great relationships with so many of our guests, staff, local farmers, artists, musicians and our community. We look forward to seeing you soon!
